Casa Papelillo

Custom designed and built private refuge in the nature reserve of Rancho Clavellinas. It sprawls over a large 1/3 acre lot just steps up from its own private beach at the north end of the jungle road 15 minutes from downtown San Pancho.

This luxury home feels like living in the treetops, an open design gazing upon the tropical outdoors from the serene comfort of the indoors defined with gorgeous ornate wood accents and handcrafted stonework.

The house is perfectly set up for hosting multiple families and/or groups with five independent bedrooms, each with its own entrance, all connected by beautifully maintained stone pathways that weave through the gardens. The house blends perfectly with the natural surroundings, built organically around the existing trees. (Not a single tree was removed during construction!)

The upper (entrance) level sits in the jungle canopy with three bedrooms surrounding a landscaped stone courtyard looking through treetops from large custom hardwood windows and doors. Two of these three bedrooms are dual master suites with expansive ocean and garden views and the third bedroom sits just behind them tucked beautifully in the trees.

On the level below is a spacious open concept kitchen, living and dining room blending the indoors and outdoors with the wood doors opening up entire walls to roomy treetop balconies, ample natural light, ceiling fans and ocean breezes.

On the same level, the fourth bedroom serves as a media room with a Murphy bed and another full bath. To the west, the outdoor patio wraps around the entire house to maximize the ocean views.

Meandering stone pathways take you to the bottom level where the fifth and final bedroom is located. This standalone “casita" currently serves as the caretaker’s suite and has a kitchenette and full bath.

Next door to the casita is Casa Papelillos' gym (with half bath) looking out through the trees to the ocean.

Just a few steps down a gently sloped path is the 50-foot, crescent shaped, salt water infinity pool. The pool is large enough for swimming laps or simply hosting family or friends as you watch the sunset over the Pacific through the treetops.

Finally, there's a foot trail through the jungle that takes you to your own private beach, Playa Clavellinas, arguably the most beautiful beach in Nayarit, often referred to as the “Corona commercial beach.” This luxury home is not to be missed.

Not to be confused with its California counterpart, San Francisco —or San Pancho as it is most commonly known— is much more low key than nearby Sayulita, at least at first glance.
