As the broker/owner of Tropicasa Realty since 1997, my primary concern is giving our clients the best professional and honest advice possible. Having been a broker in both the States as well as Mexico, with over 20 years of real estate experience, I take my job very seriously to protect my clients as best as I can. My firm employs a full-time lawyer in Mexican law to respond to any questions and/or concerns that may present themselves before, during or after a transaction.
My experience ranges from finding the ideal vacation/retirement home, to analyzing and structuring complex investment property transactions. In the States, I worked primarily with investors who purchased foreclosure/REO properties of all types. These transactions required in-depth financial studies and the ability to forecast resale trends accurately. In Mexico, the majority of the purchasers are looking for their dream vacation or retirement home. As most buyers want their property to be able to perform on some level, having the skill set to be able to analyze both the emotional as well as the practical, I am able to assist buyers in making both types of decisions.
I strongly believe in cooperation within the real estate community. As a result, we show the client all properties that suit their requirements, whether listed with my company or not. More than 80% of the business generated through my company is cooperated. That means that of all listings or sales, 80% is conducted with another agency. This gives buyers the benefit that they are seeing everything that meets their needs and desires, and it gives the sellers the largest exposure possible for the best possible response to their listing. With this philosophy, Tropicasa has become one of the leading real estate companies in the entire Bay of Banderas.
The staffing at Tropicasa is geared toward making your transaction as effortless as possible. All of our staff are professional, trained, and understand that your security is our primary concern. We offer in-house escrow services, legal support, and the ability to respond to a myriad of questions and concerns, not just those directly related to the purchasing of real estate. We understand that a change of lifestyle is occurring and we are here to help with all aspects of that change to make it as enjoyable as possible.
I am proud to say that the marketing that we undertake at Tropicasa is often described as unique and innovative. Our goal is to achieve the best response possible for our clients, and sometimes that takes the form of unique and different marketing techniques. We are not afraid to blaze new trails nor to go outside the bounds of what could be considered normal marketing. As a result, we tend to generate better-than-average results for our clients.
I am also actively involved in the community, both business-related and personally. I was the President of AMPI Puerto Vallarta (the local Board of Realtors) from 2002 to 2007. And since then, I have been the Chairman of the Honors and Justice Committee (our version of an Ethics Board). As a result, I have taken an active role in helping to shape a real estate community that buyers and sellers alike can trust and feel comfortable with. I am also on the Board of Directors for the internationally-recognized Make-a-Wish Foundation. As a charter member of the international organization, MAW Mexico grants wishes to children with life-threatening diseases who are not expected to reach the age of 18. We grant wishes all throughout Mexico and have been fortunate enough to have never turned down a wish request yet.
