Appraisal Institute Signs Agreement to Provide Appraisal Education in Mexico
In an effort to provide Appraisal Institute-quality appraisal education in Mexico, the Appraisal Institute recently signed a three-year cooperative agreement with the Federation of Colleges, Institutes and Societies of Valuation of Mexico (FECISVAL). Under the agreement, Appraisal Institute instructors will teach Appraisal Institute courses through FECISVAL, which will be responsible for Spanish translation.

The agreement was signed during the closing ceremonies of FECISVAL's XLII Annual National Valuation Convention in Culiacan, Sinaloa, in late October.

The Appraisal Institute and FECISVAL will work together to ensure the security and integrity of the courses and exams as well as to lobby for the approval of the courses by the Mexican government. In addition, due to the advanced college-level course work in valuation by a large number of Mexican appraisers, the Appraisal Institute will explore accreditation of work already completed for its residential and commercial professional designations.
